In this dialog the default Modal Estimator to use in the Modal Estimation task can be specified. Also the visual behavior of the estimated modes  can be set.

The Modal Estimation task currently supports the following estimators:

• Frequency Domain Decomposition - FDD
• Enhanced Frequency Domain Decomposition - EFDD
• Curve-fit Frequency Domain Decomposition - CFDD
• Unweighted Principal Components - UPC
• Extended Unweighted Principal Component - UPCX
• Principal Components - PC
• Canonical Variate Analysis - CVA
• Unweighted Principal Components – Merged Test Setups - UPC Merged

Note: Depending on the type of license, the list of available estimators may vary.

Default Estimator
This option is used for specifying which estimator should initially be loaded when starting a project and going to the Modal Estimation task.

 

Overlaid Data Effect

In EFDD it is possible that SDOF bell needs to be displayed overlaid on the 2D diagram.
With this option you can toggle the selection between the following:

• Blinking
• Fade In / Fade Out
• Static

 

Default SSI Settings

This section will configure which SSI Estimators will be enabled and which values should be used on the Modal Indicators.
